Join the Kane Volunteer Fire Department
Are you looking for an opportunity that will allow you to make a REAL impact and give back to your community in no other way possible? Are you bored and looking for something that will always push the envelope and challenge you? Are you looking for an organization that is a close knit family where you will form a bond like no other? If you have read this far, then it sounds like your a perfect candidate and should consider joining the Kane Volunteer Fire Department! We are always accepting new members and everything is provided except your time and energy. There are many jobs that don't require you to take the interior firefighter training from Fire Police, Engineer (Truck Driver) to Auxiliary member. We may be a little "salty" around the edges but at the end of the day it's a much deserved job well done. Download the membership application below and turn in to any fire department member or come by the firehall on Monday nights during our training hours between 7pm and 9pm to see what we're about.

Address Sign Fundraiser
The Kane Volunteer Fire Department is selling address signs as a fundraiser to residences and businesses in our coverage areas of Kane Borough and Wetmore Township. Many addresses in our protection area do not have a clearly defined and visible address posted in the correct location. This can present a safety hazard in the event of an emergency and cost valuable time. Borough code chapter 102-9 ordinance number A-895 requires the address of all residence and businesses be posted in a uniform and particular manner. Why not avoid that fine and help your local volunteer fire department? There will be four colors offered with only a certain amount of each color made. Once they are sold out that is all we will make. The signs will have reflective letters and numbers with the new "A Star in the Forest" logo on it. Get yours today! Download the order form below and please mail along with your payment and contact info.

Friday evening, 10/8/2021 from 5pm-7pm, we setup in the municipal parking lot beside the Kane Post Office for our annual community night to allow anyone and everyone to talk to the firefighters, look at equipment, and pick up a free kids fire safety kit and hat.
